In September he kicked off the new film festival Cinema without barriers: the screening of films normally distributed in the room, but with audio commentary and subtitling for people with disabilities of sight and hearing. The City Service for all of the City of Venice, with the advice UIC (Italian Union for the Blind) section of Venice and provincial ENS, has launched the initiative on the success that the project has had in other Italian cities help enrich the cultural offer on quality cinema. Cinema without barriers is designed for the first time in 2005 in Milan by AJAX (Italian Association Friends Cinema d 'Essay) which coordinates the working group and select the works to be adapted, with the technical support of the company Raggio di Roma Verde. Thanks to new digital technologies and with a synchronization system, the film is implemented with additional data: the subtitles of the dialogues, the information on the noise, the music or the origin of the phrase. Those who need it will be able to listen with headphones, the audio commentary that describes actions, moods, situations and landscapes never cover the dialogue and important sounds.
