Venice diversifies its range of theatrical performances examining the requests of both the public's traditional taste, more tied to a classic programming, which at a closer to contemporary trends.

It 'very varied and quality cultural and artistic proposal of the City, not only in the two historic theaters, the Teatro Goldoni in Venice and Toniolo in Mestre, but also in more harvests and decentralized areas, but no less interesting from the point of view programming. Some of these such as the Teatro Avogaria Dorsoduro or Groggia Theatre in Cannaregio, have consolidated in recent years their reality laboratory-spaces with a tendency to turn to an audience of children and young people.

Venice has a strong historical tradition in the art theatrical entertainment, and has updated this vocation, taking care of the artistic offerings of theater performances even in unusual contexts, like outdoor spaces during certain times of the year (see Biennale) or in private palaces, which become fifth perfect for hosting performances of great scenic impact.
