L 'University Ca' Foscari of Venice and the 'Alliance française welcome Gao Xingjian, a French-Chinese author, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2000.
The author will meet with the Venetian public explaining its nature as a novelist, playwright, poet and painter.
Moderates the meeting the French actress and writer Anny Romand.
Some texts of Gao Xingjian stretches from the play The Quêteur de la mort and the novel La Montagne de l'âme, and some poems will be read in French, Chinese and Italian.
Followed by: screening of the film "Le deuil de la beauté" by Gao Xingjian (France, 120 ')

Anny Romand
Directed by directors like Jean-Luc Godard, Manoel de Oliveira, Francoise Romand, Jean-Jacques Beineix, Anny Romand is also acting in television and the theater, where he acted plays by Molière, Marguerite Duras, Claude Roy, Euripides. He personified the figure of Persephone in the opera by Stravinsky, conducted by Alexander Lazarev in Amsterdam, Glasgow and Edinburgh. In 2006 he created the project Une Saison de Nobel, a series of evenings devoted to Nobel Prizes for literature, which still coordinates.
