The Leonardo Sciascia Prize amateurs of estampes
The passion of Leonardo Sciascia for carvings is celebrated since 1998 with the important initiative of an award by invitation, he awarded every two years to the work of an engraver, selected by a jury of six artists, all highly appreciated by Sciascia. Each edition of the award is associated with a limited-edition catalog published by "the Sunflower" (Valverde, Catania) Angelo Scandurra. The award is promoted together with the Civic Art Collection "Achille Bertarelli" in Milan and a network of the most credible institutions such as the Paper and Watermark Museum of Fabriano, the Foundation "the Bison" of Florence, the International School of Graphics Venice, the Whitaker Foundation Giuseppe Palermo and Federica Galli Foundation of Milan. A prize awarded, all the works come to donation, in the heritage of the Civic Collection Bertarelli. For this initiative, the City of Milan awarded the Sciascia Friends in 2010 (and again in 2014) the recognition of Benefactor of the city. In eight editions they were collected and donated to the city nearly three hundred sheets of artists from over fifteen countries.

Evan Summer
Evan Summer is an American artist specializing in engraving on copper and Collagraph. He is currently a professor of art at Kutztown University, USA, where he teaches Graphic Art since 1984. Much of his work is timeless landscapes, often depicting architectural and geometric shapes. It uses actual views as a reference, adding his own elements from his memories and fantasies. The concepts of loneliness, isolation and fear are emphasized by the lack of human elements. He has participated in the biennials and prizes worldwide. His work has been exhibited in more than two hundred group exhibitions and invitational in Krakow, Taipei, Beijing, Tokyo, Guanlan (China), Fredrikstad (Norway), Russia, Italy, Bulgaria and in many places in the US.
