Description
Voices from the Mediterranean: news, comments, address the press outside Europe (Arab countries, Turkey, Iran, Israel, etc.) Read and commented by students of the Department of Studies on Africa and the Mediterranean dell 'Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia at the Library VEZ.
The current geopolitical situation in the Mediterranean, strongly destabilized, is sometimes told by our media incompletely when not deformed.
The uncertainty of the sources, the simplifications, the ideologies in communication, often causing confusion and prejudice to the public.
The Festival aims to raise awareness and deepen facts and opinions from the local press of each country, translating and comparing articles, news, columns of various newspapers.
Aloud to students of 4th and 5th year, and teachers and the Department of Studies on Africa and the Mediterranean will read and comment on the release today of the areas affected by conflicts and tensions.
At the center of political topics, economic, religious, dealing with fundamental aspects of the culture and sensitivity of the area considered but also news stories and customs.

The events are held in the seminar room of the Library Vez with entry via Querini.
The exhibition is a collaboration between: Public Library VEZ, USR Veneto Regional Education Office, Department of Studies on Africa and the Mediterranean University Ca 'Foscari of Venice, Venice and Europe Direct.
