The Factory See is pleased to host Lucia Veronesi, in dialogue with Daniele Capra, as the first round of Video Remakes season.

The artist will be confronted with the curator on themes and methods of their work, the style and the animation techniques and assembly adopted, as well as on the underlying poetic in its work. Video Remakes is a meeting format based on the analysis of the video production of young authors emerged in recent years, whose research is related to historical antecedents and sources of inspiration.

Especially videos of Lucia Veronesi arise from the practice of drawing, painting and sculpture, in a continuous game of references between two / three-dimensional figurative elements that take shape in collage, maquette of paper and cardboard, or construction of real scenes in which the artist moves his room. With a measured, rhythmic style characterized by rhythmic images with newspaper clippings or drawings that move on the screen with the stop motion, Lucia Veronesi spread of micro-narratives suspended and alienating, in which domestic world and intimacy explode in curious events, surreal or absurd. Works as a domestic pandemic, Self Defense, Untitled Landscape, Outside a great night of stars, will be compared with works by Ernst Lubitsch, Buster Keaton and Eddie Cline, Max and Dave Fleischer, Bruno Bozzetto, Zbigniew Rybczynski, Martha Colburn, Michel Gondry.
