The mother is a young Polish-French (Concepcion Santisteban Blanchard) and his father is Spanish (Enrique Gutierrez Cueto).
Because of a terrible fall of the mother during pregnancy Maria was born with a severe malformation of the spine that will take her throughout life to a feeling unfit, both physically and mentally.
Despite this, the girl decides to become a professional singer and begins his studies in 1903 in Madrid.
From there will begin its journey in the world of art between Cubism and the struggle to emerge in an environment where the big names of the men cover the small achievements of women.
