Listen to music, see music, tell the music. Ernesto Assante and Gino Castaldo, music critics of the newspaper "La Repubblica," have followed the musical chronicles the last four decades. In Lessons of Rock investigate themes and characters in rock history, reconstructing stories, telling discs, trivia, anecdotes and texts, to guide the audience in listening to works that are part of the history of music, but also the lives of us all. The format is always the same: two hours of lecture rich with memorable songs and unforgettable stories.

Musician, songwriter, actor, record producer, complete artist and intellectual complex has gone through five decades of cultural evolution, especially of rock music, regularly leaving behind him the most diverse styles with which he experimented, the most diverse images that He incarnated. From acoustic folk to electronic, glam rock, soul, from film to video, from the stage to writing, has influenced the thinking, tastes, fashions of various generations of the "short century."
During this special Rock Lessons, Assante and Castaldo retrace the life and career, both of extraordinary, one of the greatest geniuses in the history of music.

Ernesto Assante collaborates with "La Repubblica" and "L'Espresso". He wrote music criticism books. He has collaborated in more than thirty years of its activities with numerous weekly and monthly Italian and foreign, including "Period", "L'Espresso", "Rolling Stone". From 2003 to 2009 he taught "Theory and Technique of New Media" and then "Analysis of musical languages", the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University La Sapienza in Rome. It was one of the most famous voices of the radio program "RaiStereoNotte".

Gino Castaldo deals with music critics, music dissemination and run radio. Writes for the daily newspaper "La Repubblica," oversaw the weekly insert "Music" the same newspaper, he has conducted programs for "RAI Radio 3" together with Philip Bianchi (music critic and writer, organizer and cultural worker, then director of "Music Jazz "magazine historical).
