Intervention by Daniel Buren for Buinding in Paris by Frank Gehry | Fondation Louis Vuitton

As part of the exhibition, Daniel Buren has designed a special installation incorporating the glass roof of the Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia. This echoes to the presentation of his temporary work, ‘Observatory of Light,’ which was unveiled at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris on May 11.

Installed across the Fondation’s 12 glass ‘sails’, the creation offers a new and striking perspective of the building.
The Spazio Etoile, the movie theater located inside the Louis Vuitton Maison in Rome, will present at the same time a programme of documentaries and interviews dedicated to the construction and artistic programme of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, echoing the exhibition at Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia.

Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia will continue its collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE), which, thanks to a passionate project of sponsorship and cultural actions, brings Louis Vuitton to sustain each year the restoration of historical works belonging to the Venetian heritage, from the MUVE Museum’s collections.

On the occasion of the exhibition, Louis Vuitton restored several wooden models created for the construction of Museums and Villas from the XVIII Century, to be exhibited, once restored, at Museo Correr in Venice.
