From 17 June to 17 August, at the Ar33 Studio Venice indomitable spirit and placid Frida Kahlo he told by his friend Leo Matiz, Colombian photographer.

The Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is considered a symbol of modern art and an icon of resistance to pain and opposition against the disease.

The tireless traveler Colombian Leo Matiz, considered one of the greatest photographers of the last, he met Frida in the 40 century and quickly developed a strong friendship that was manifested in a series of images that reveal the sensitivity and soul of the Mexican, to beyond the physical suffering that life had imposed.

After being in some Italian cities, the exhibition arrives in Venice and tells the life of the great artist, but also the history of Mexico between revolution and war, joy and hope. They will be exposed 30 unpublished photographs, and later modified by the Italian artist Emanuele Viscuso: made ​​in black and white and color images try to evoke empathy with the subject, as we begin suffering of artistic painter and battles that liberated her tormented and vulnerable body.

Photographs by Leo Matiz correspond to a period of creative maturity and painter personnel who had taken her to accept the betrayals of his body and the infidelity of her husband.

The inauguration of the exhibition at the Ar33 Studio of Venice will present his daughter Alejandra Matiz, President of the Leo Matiz Foundation.
