Description

The National Library of Israel has the honor of taking part in the events planned for the Five hundredth of the Ghetto of Venice (1516-2016).

The city of Venice has played a key role in the history of the Jewish book.

You are invited to discover events and protagonists who, since the sixteenth century, have contributed to the international reputation of the Jewish press far beyond the walls of the Ghetto.

The National Library of Israel brought together the leading international experts for a unique event which will take place in the spectacular setting of the State Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice.

The Symposium will begin at 15:00 and will end at 18:30
